Condalette Artero prefers to be called Connie. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and also holds credentials as a licensed clinical addiction specialist in the state, with seven years of clinical experience.
Connie centers her work on the therapeutic relationship, beginning by building rapport so clients can develop trust in the therapy process. Her approach is client-centered and tailored to each person’s needs, often blending techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness practices, and cognitive processing therapy for PTSD and trauma.
She emphasizes the role of thoughts in shaping emotions and behavior, offering a supportive space for clients to express thoughts and feelings while teaching practical coping skills to reduce symptoms. Her background includes work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and abuse - including domestic violence and sexual assault - women’s issues, substance use concerns, and life transitions.
Connie also supports clients with relationship and family conflicts, parenting difficulties, anger management, low self-esteem, career challenges, bipolar disorder, ADHD, compassion fatigue, and issues facing LGBTQ individuals. She recognizes that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming and looks forward to helping clients set and reach goals to improve overall functioning and mental health. Saturday morning appointments are available. Due to state licensure restrictions, she can only accept clients who reside in North Carolina.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main advantages is flexibility. Clients can connect in the format that works best for them - through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and if a particular working relationship does not feel like the right fit, clients have the option to switch to a different therapist. Online therapy offers a practical and accessible way to engage in treatment for a range of everyday mental health concerns.
