Dana Teeter is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Indiana with ten years of clinical experience. She employs a holistic approach to health and wellness, combining talk therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques with mind-body practices such as yoga, breath work, mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation, and other exercises to address negative thinking, intrusive thoughts, and emotional regulation.
Dana has worked for more than a decade with children and adolescents in school settings as a counselor and social worker, supporting students with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, childhood trauma, identity concerns, self-esteem challenges, interpersonal skills, and emotional regulation. She also has eight years of hands-on experience at home raising two sons who were both diagnosed with ADHD, which informs her perspective as both a practitioner and a parent.
Her school-based work includes writing IEPs, 504 plans, behavior intervention plans, and individualized goals for students with ADHD, and she has collaborated with school professionals and families to put those plans into practice. While much of her background is with children and teens, she also provides services to adults and families, helping assess mental health and wellness needs and develop plans to improve self-regulation and overall wellbeing.
Dana integrates evidence-based strategies such as CBT and mindfulness with movement and breath-centered practices. She is Yogafit certified, holds a black belt in Taekwondo, and is a certified Revelation Wellness instructor. She studies the mind-body-spirit connection, educates clients about the brain’s capacity to change, and aims to create a supportive space where clients can explore their stories, set goals, and become informed advocates for their own mental health.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is convenience and flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that suits them best - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals deliver care remotely, and if a client feels they need a different fit, switching therapists is an available option. For everyday mental health needs, online therapy offers accessible, flexible support that can complement a person’s path toward improved wellbeing.
