Darin Hudson is a licensed professional counselor practicing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who brings eight years of clinical experience to his work with individuals and families. He has supported people facing substance use concerns, depression, grief and loss, suicidal thoughts, anger management challenges, and other mental health disorders, and he also works with clients handling relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, LGBTQ issues, family conflicts, parenting challenges, self-esteem concerns, addictions, ADHD, and life changes.
He has received focused training in trauma-informed care, crisis management, and mental health first-aid, and commonly uses evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused techniques, and a person-centered approach. At his core he identifies as a teacher, motivator, and relator, aiming to create an atmosphere where people feel heard and valued.
Darin approaches counseling with respect and a commitment to helping clients confront difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. He believes that meaningful personal growth can be challenging but achievable - a philosophy he often summarizes as difficult but doable. He looks forward to supporting clients who choose to begin that process with him.
