Dr. Jeffrey Levine is a licensed psychologist in Connecticut with four decades of clinical experience. He earned his doctorate from Yeshiva University in 1982 and has maintained a long-standing emphasis on cognitive behavioral interventions.
His clinical interests include mindfulness meditation, energetic healing, Internal Family Systems therapy, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). Dr. Levine approaches care with compassion, a permissive stance, and a non-judgmental attitude, expanding beyond traditional talk therapy to use a broader set of healing methods.
Dr. Levine emphasizes comprehensive treatment that aims for lasting benefit and a restored quality of life. He is passionate about these approaches because they produce meaningful change and allow patients to reclaim pleasure, enjoyment, and freedom from the pain that brought them to therapy.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Levine has been married for more than 24 years and is the father of four grown children and five grandchildren. He enjoys biking, swimming, playing pickleball, and hiking around the world with his wife. An avid photographer, he has taken many photos—mostly in the American Southwest and in other countries—several of which hang in the couple’s country home, where they also maintain a cabin in the woods.
He is credentialed as a Connecticut psychologist, listed as CT Psychologist 1225, and maintains a practice grounded in evidence-informed methods alongside complementary approaches.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy produces real results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - individuals can meet with a therapist in the format that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists whenever they feel a different fit would be more helpful.
