Jessica Hartman is a clinical social worker with two decades of experience delivering mental health support across diverse settings. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of North Dakota in 1997 and earned a Master of Social Work from the College of St. Catherine/University of St. Thomas in 2003, then spent six of her twenty years practicing as a licensed clinical social worker and licensed independent clinical social worker.
She has lived and worked in both small town and rural communities as well as in urban centers, including Minneapolis/St. Paul and Phoenix, AZ, and has provided care in schools, day-treatment programs, in-home settings, virtual sessions, and an outpatient behavioral health clinic. Her work addresses a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, adjustment to life changes, relationship and family conflicts, LGBTQ issues, school and career challenges, parenting and anger management, self-esteem and coping skills, grief, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
Jessica prioritizes creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space, bringing a warm, relational manner to her sessions. She follows a strength-based, person-centered approach that meets individuals where they are and helps them build on existing resources. In practice she blends cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, and mindfulness to teach practical skills clients can use between sessions.
She is licensed to practice clinical social work in Minnesota and Nevada; her license identifiers are MN LICSW 16385 and NV LCSW 11128-C. Located in Minnesota, Jessica treats seeking therapy as a courageous first step and welcomes the opportunity to support people on their path toward greater wellbeing.
