Kirsten Peebles is a family and marriage therapist trained clinician who brings a decade of clinical experience to her practice in Washington. She has worked with clients across a variety of settings who present with concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, legal issues, substance use, OCD, and ADHD. She has also supported many people who have experienced military-related trauma as well as PTSD from other causes.
Kirsten favors a direct, straightforward therapy style and avoids stigmatizing labels, holding the belief that people can address and overcome the issues they bring to therapy. Her approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused techniques, and she integrates other modalities when they serve a client’s goals.
She partners with clients to identify clear goals and to develop a treatment plan focused on meeting those goals. With ten years of experience and licensure to practice mental health counseling in Washington state, Kirsten aims to make therapy practical, goal-oriented, and empowering for each person she sees.
Kirsten recognizes that recent challenging times have increased mental health needs while also creating new opportunities to seek help. Taking the first step toward improvement can feel both brave and empowering, and she looks forward to working with individuals who are ready to begin that process.
