Linnette Haynes welcomes people who are beginning a path of healing and empowerment, and she acknowledges the many roles and responsibilities people carry, especially in these unprecedented times. She recognizes how meaningful it is when someone makes time for their own well-being.
She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California who completed a Master of Social Work and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in 2007, earned her clinical license in 2015, and finished a Master of Arts in Education in 2020. Her clinical credential reflects advanced training and authorization to provide therapeutic services in California.
With over 10 years of counseling experience, Linnette has worked with individuals, children, youth, and families across community organizations, schools, and jails. She has experience supporting survivors of trauma, including domestic and intimate partner violence as well as community violence, and has worked extensively with women, communities of color, and people from LGBTQ communities.
Her approach blends strengths-based and empowerment frameworks with mindfulness and motivational interviewing. She draws on client-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and trauma-informed therapies to tailor care to each person’s needs.
Linnette offers a non-judgmental, authentic space where people can be heard, understood, and accepted. She supports clients in exploring their identities, speaking their truths, setting personal goals, and pursuing practical solutions so they can move toward their best and happiest selves.
She looks forward to working with new clients and supporting their growth.
Many people ask whether remote therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that fits their routine and comfort level: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to fit counseling into a busy life.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if a different fit is desired, clients have the option to switch therapists. For those seeking a practical, accessible way to address everyday mental health needs, online therapy can be a useful and effective option.
