Rhonda Lucineo is a mental health counselor with a degree in counseling psychology and is a licensed professional counselor in both Connecticut and Arizona. She brings 13 years of clinical experience working in private practice and in group homes, along with more than twenty-five years of training and experience as a family counselor within the judicial system.
Her work has included counseling individuals, children, families, and couples for a wide range of concerns. These include stress, various forms of anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, family and parenting problems, relationship issues and attachment difficulties, trauma and emotional abuse, domestic violence, divorce, child custody matters, and addictions.
Rhonda’s approach is warm and interactive. She meets people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and avoids using stigmatizing labels. Her practice integrates evidence-based methods, combining cognitive-behavioral techniques, interpersonal psychotherapy, solution-focused strategies, and rational-emotive therapy to match each person’s needs.
She individualizes conversations and treatment plans to address each client’s specific circumstances. Counseling is a passion for Rhonda, and she finds it meaningful when clients notice improvement in their emotional well-being. She is available to support and empower those ready to begin their therapeutic journey and looks forward to working with new clients.
Many people wonder whether remote sessions can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the communication method that fits their needs and comfort level - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and daily life.
Therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and if a different fit is needed, clients are generally able to switch providers. For many people facing everyday mental health challenges, online therapy offers a practical and effective option to begin or continue treatment.
