Robert Lieberman is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio who earned his Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and returned to his native state to begin his career. He holds state supervisory credentials and brings more than 19 years of experience working with children ages 6 to 15 and their families who face significant mental and behavioral health challenges.
Throughout his career he has worked with issues such as impulse control, anger management, coping skills, interpersonal relationships, defiance and oppositional behavior, grief and loss, and self-esteem. His practice has included both group and individual settings, with a primary focus on clients from low-income households.
Lieberman emphasizes starting where each client is and setting realistic, obtainable goals for therapy. He approaches care with patience and kindness, taking a genuine interest in clients' well-being and finding it rewarding to support people as they make the changes they seek. He views emotional responses as valid, believes anyone can need support and guidance, and aims to offer practical help to make managing challenges and stressors easier.
He acknowledges that seeking help can be difficult and values the importance of taking that first step. Robert is open to questions and strives to answer them honestly as part of the therapeutic process.
