Dr. Vincenza Fabber is a seasoned mental health professional based in Delaware with 25 years of experience in the behavioral and mental health field. She combines clinical leadership, hands-on therapeutic work, and specialty training to help people navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, relationship and family conflicts, eating and parenting concerns, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other challenges.
Her career includes leadership and direct-service roles across settings. She served as Director of the Shore Memorial Hospital Children’s Center and as Assistant Director of a Montessori early childhood school in Virginia. In Pennsylvania, she worked as a consulting behavioral specialist at the Scranton State School for the Deaf and held a leadership role with Mentor. In 2002 she entered a clinical position within the state prison system and later became the Statewide Director of Behavioral Health Services for the Department of Correction.
After retiring from the Department of Correction, Dr. Fabber continued providing behavioral health services, contributing to SOAR (Survivors of Abuse in Recovery) and maintaining a private practice. She also oversees treatment services for the Joseph Patrick Fabber Memorial Foundation. Outside of clinical work she runs a therapeutic horse farm and enjoys time with her children, grandchildren, friends, pets and her beloved KoKo.
Her education and specialized training span early childhood education, human services, counseling psychology and clinical psychology, along with certifications in clinical correctional health care, hypnotherapy, play therapy, filial therapy, equine-assisted therapy (EAGALA), CPR instruction, trauma-informed care, and crisis and hostage negotiation through the National Institute of Corrections. She is a licensed mental health professional in Delaware (DE LPMHC PC-0000437). Dr. Fabber also offers coaching and support for professional growth and learning.
Dr. Fabber’s practice focuses on practical strategies and compassionate care for individuals, couples and families. She welcomes conversations to determine whether her experience and approach are a good fit for a person’s goals.
Many people wonder whether remote sessions really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues or coping with life changes, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most individuals.
One of the main advantages is convenience. Clients can connect in the format that suits them best - video calls, phone conversations, live chat or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists at any time if they want a different fit. Online therapy can provide a flexible, accessible way to work toward mental health and wellness goals with a trained therapist.
